OK, so I have been off the blog for over a year now, and decided to start up a new blog. . . now that I have rebooted my life. So, here I am. . living alone in the big city, working a new job, and setting my sights on a new life, a Renaissance of sorts.
So, let's catch up a bit shall we? This has been quite a year for change. A horrific loss back in February really made me take some stock in the direction my life seemed to be going. Upon returning from my Dad's funeral, I jumped into work. Typical reaction, but with my job. . .not so much. After 5 solid weeks of working 80 hours and the next working 92 hours, my body just gave out and descended into the worst psoriasis flare I have had in my life. So, I decided it was "time to change. Time to re-arrange who I was and who I wanted to be sha-na-na-na-na-na shananana". . .lol, sorry for the Brady reference.
So, I went out and found myself a new job, one where I go to the same office, every day. A job where my specialties can be put to good use and, finally, a job that I can make connections with coworkers, make friends and settle in. So, I prepared the boy as best I could, and sent him off to make his fortune in the big world. Packed my stuff and moved into a smaller, one bedroom apartment. I have big hopes for the future. Reconnecting with old friends, re-engaging in theater and working a laid back, 9 to 5 job. Hooray!
So why come back to the blog? Well, living alone gets lonely, um duh. And, I figure, although I keep up with friends and family on Facebook and Google+ and Twitter, I have stories to tell! So, welcome all. . .old friends and new friends. . I hope to give you a chuckle, a sigh or maybe even a nod every now and then. Catch you later.
